how it all began
A story of shared vision
The story behind Neotap begins long before the brand itself.
In 2003, Spring Water Solutions was founded by two friends with a shared vision. One was a plumber who understood the technical side of water systems. The other brought creativity, business insight and both had a passion for building something different.
Together, they started a small water cooler business with a simple goal: to help New Zealand homes and businesses access better drinking water.
Expanding our expertise in filtration, purification and hydration solutions across New Zealand.
Growing Beyond Water Coolers
As demand grew, so did the business.
What began with water coolers evolved into a broader range of drinking water solutions, including water filtration systems, ultra-purified water production, sparkling water coolers and customised hydration systems for homes and businesses.
As our customer base continued to grow, particularly throughout the South Island, we expanded our operations by opening a Christchurch branch, enabling us to provide local service and support to customers nationwide.
Throughout this growth, our focus remained unchanged: delivering better water, backed by genuine expertise and exceptional service.

By 2018, the way people interacted with water at home and work was changing.
Drawing on more than 15 years of experience in filtration, purification and hydration solutions, Spring Water Solutions began supplying instant water taps to New Zealand homes and businesses.
Customers embraced the convenience of filtered boiling, chilled and sparkling water directly from the tap, backed by local installation, servicing and support.
As demand grew, so did our understanding of what New Zealand customers wanted: premium performance, thoughtful design, dependable support and long-term value.
Those insights led to the creation of Neotap — a brand developed specifically for the New Zealand market, combining proven technology with a smarter, design-led approach to instant water.
